Two Days Until Launch

We are still planning to leave on Sunday. The washer part is on back order and will not be shipped for awhile. We told the service center to ship the part to our South Dakota address. Hopefully we will be able to get it while we are there. If we leave before it comes it will eventually get to Dave’s house, then he can forward it to us. Everything else on the RV is working well, knock on wood!

I installed the TPMS on the truck and the RV. It was very confusing on programming the sensors. I was reading the instructions but it just did not make sense. Then I noticed that the instructions were missing some pages. I went on line and found the instructions on the manufacturers website. That made the whole difference. I was able to get them programmed and ready to go. The only issue I have right now is that I can not quite get enough air into the RV tires. It is suppose to have 125 psi cold. My compressor can only get about 115 psi into them although it is suppose to be able to go to 150 psi. I think I may have a problem with the air chuck. I will have to work on that today.

We watched all of the grandkids over the last week and here are a few various pictures of them.

Today we are having lunch with a friend and past co-worker of mine. Then tonight a dinner with a couple from our Goldwing chapter. Then on Saturday we are going to have the grand boy’s spend the day and night with us. I do not want them to see us packing up so we will have most things ready before they come. Then on Saturday night we will take the boy’s to dinner with Mike and Cheryl and Emma to celebrate Mike’s final checkout with the FAA. He will finally be done with all of his training and will be a fully certified Air Traffic Controller.

Our plan Sunday is to leave around noon. As we head towards SD, we do not plan to travel more than 200 miles on average each time we move. We will be stopping at around six campgrounds along the way and should be in Sioux Falls on Aug 14th. We will stay in SD the rest of the month of Aug.  Hopefully as we get on the road I will be able to keep this blog up daily.
