Last Few Days In Huntington

We hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day weekend and remembered to use sunscreen. That is if you were fortunate enough to have sun.

It rained here Friday and Saturday and was cloudy and windy on Sunday. Monday was sunny and the temperature rose to 90. What a difference a day makes.

We spent Monday at our youngest son’s house where we had more room to get all of our kids and grandkids together.  We cooked hamburgers and brats on the grill and watched the kids play in the yard.

I think she’s going to be a righty! Great stance Emma!

The grand boys wanted to do a slip and slide. The only problem was we did not have a slip and slide. Uncle Mike improvised. He said they did a similar thing in college with the sororities and baby oil. Go figure! It did not work quite as planned but the boy’s did not care, they had fun anyway.

Wednesday we will be leaving Huntington and will be headed to southern Indiana for a couple of months. We will be bouncing between a couple of Thousand Trails campgrounds and will check out more of southern Indiana.

We have lived in northern Indiana for over 20 years, but have spent little time in the southern part. The motorcycle roads are better and they have some really nice state parks in that part of the state.

Tuesday I still have a few quick projects to do. We got the basement more organized and I was able to get my tools in the front. We added a separating wall to keep other items from getting into the tools and it also gives me a tie down for the tools themselves. It will be nice to have these tools with me.

We got a lot of the maintenance done on the rig as well over the weekend. I changed the grease zerts in the suspension to 90 degree zerts. That will help me with getting access to grease the suspension.

Maxine like to keep the dryer vent very clean from lent. She noticed that lent was building up on the back side of the trap against the back of the dryer. She could not reach it due to another screen mesh. Her solution?

She used the leaf blower to blow it down and out the dryer vent. It worked very well!

When we get to Clinton Indiana, I am going to have to concentrate on getting the RV, truck and motorcycle washed and waxed. With all the rain this past month, they have not been taken care of very well. One thing is for sure, they will not all get done in the same day!

Enjoy Your Day!

No testing here :) Great idea using the leaf blower to clear the dryer vent! George would no doubt use the air compressor :)
