Groceries and Games

The last few days we have enjoyed the return of the warm weather.  There was a taco dinner at the clubhouse on Saturday night that we had signed up for. There were all kinds of cake and cookies for desert. Afterwards we played a board game called fast track with two other couples. It is a fun game and it seems that it is played at most of the RV parks we have been to so far. I will have to see about making us a game board when we get back to Indiana in May.

On Sunday we read our books and then grilled some chicken on the grill. It was a nice relaxing day sitting outside reading and waiting for a deer or an armadillo to come by.

Monday we went to the grocery store and got caught up on our laundry. We also got everything together that we want to take on our kayak trip on Tuesday. We were planning on going to a brewery on Tuesday and the kayak trip on Wednesday, but there is a chance of light rain on Wednesday so we swapped the day’s events around.

Here is what our kayak looks like. It is an inflatable kayak by Sea Eagle and it is rated for class 4 rapids.

We have not had a chance to get it out since we started out last August. The Colorado river section here in Columbus is perfect for beginner’s to float down. There are a couple of class 1 rapids during the 10 mile float from the campground to the city park in Columbus.

So we have our lunches packed and the sun is out. We will probably get on the river around 10:30 or 11:00 am. I am not quite sure how long it will take to float but I am thinking It should between 4 to 6 hours to float.

Enjoy Your Day!
