A Year In a Trailer

Wow! It has been a year already since Max and I moved from the apartment to our travel trailer that we had on a lot at Camp Timberlake in Huntington In.

By the time we moved into the travel trailer we had bought the Ford and had the Mobile Suites on order. We only had to live in the smaller travel trailer for about six weeks before we took delivery of the bigger 5th wheel.

Now, after living in such close quarters I can happily report that Max and I have not killed each other. Yep! We are very much alive, and to top it off we still speak to each other!

I may have selective listening to what she says but hey, I had that problem when we lived in the sticks and bricks. I am constantly working on my listening skills and It has been a work in progress for the last 34 years. Max will confirm this…. I think!

The last 9 days have been stormy, wet, windy, and we have been inside most of the time. I think that this is the longest time we have been cooped up since we hit the road. Storms are not fun, weather or not you are in a trailer or in a house. We try to watch the weather close and always have the local shelter located in case of need. We have a weather radio, but no signal where we are right now.

Luckily we are north of all the storms that went through the south. We have had some sun today but as I am writing this the clouds are rolling in. Looks like we are in for another round. Joy!

We may leave here on Saturday and drive the 169 miles to Huntington. It is suppose to be sunny on Friday and Saturday and then stormy again on Sunday. We will spend the month of May at Camp Timberlake where we started out a year ago.

It will be nice seeing our friends and family. I have a lot of scheduled maintenance to do on all of our vehicles and we have our yearly physicals set up while we are in town.

The big event for May is that our oldest son David graduates from collage on the 11th. So a big celebration is in order. He has worked very hard for this, and I know he is ready to be done.

Enjoy Your Day!

Congratulations on your one-year anniversary! Glad you've both made it through alive and well. :)

Stay safe with all this stormy weather.
