Back In Indiana and Some Crazy Idea

Last Saturday night we took the boys to their first stock car race. We went to the Kalamazoo Speedway. I do not know why I did not bring my camera. I could have gotten some great shots of the boys.

They had a lot of fun and we were able to go into the pits after the race. One driver let Gage sit inside his race car, and of course, no camera to get a picture.

Sunday the boy’s spent the day playing at the beach at the lake while we sat near by and read. Eventually Gage lured me into the water and we played for awhile.

We went back to the rig fairly early, got the boys an evening snack then we went about getting things ready to travel the next day.

Monday we made it back to Indiana at the Timberlake campground  and got set up. Ahh! 50 amps and full hook ups. That means we can run both A/C’s and with no low voltage issues.

We will have the boys until Friday, then they will be going with their mom and other grandparents to the Wisconsin Dells on Saturday. These boys have had a busy month.

Max and I was planning on leaving Indiana on the second week of September and slowly work our way to Texas, Arizona then to California by February.

We still want to be in Quartzsite by January and still intend to make it out there sometime during that month, but we decided to hang back and maybe make a little money in the meantime.

I can not believe I am saying this but we decided to work this fall and replenish our medical accounts and put some spending money aside for our west coast adventures next year.

We will be working for Amazon at the Campbellsville Kentucky fulfillment center during their holiday rush period. I never thought we would do this but after thinking about it for awhile it makes sense.

We can replenish our medical deductible account that we dipped into last year when Max broke her leg, plus set some aside so we can have more spending money for California. I hear they have some pretty good wines out that way ;>)

Amazon has a great camper work program. They will utilize close to 800 temporary workers during the holiday rush period and most of these workers are Rver’s.

Amazon pays for the campsite and electricity plus an hourly wage with plenty of overtime. We will start sometime after Sept 15th and will be released December 23rd.

I am not sure if I will like it or not but for 3 months I think we can handle it. I am hoping that I might even lose some weight during the process. If nothing else it will be a good learning experience to see how Amazon operates and it will let us know if we ever want to do this again if a real need ever arises. We shall see.

Enjoy Your Day!

Sounds like a good deal as long as you don't mind getting a little chilly in Ky during December.
