A Little Rain and Sunshine And New Friends

Saturday we had a nice light rain fall for a few hours. We spent the afternoon under the awning outside watching the Nationwide road race. It was a fun race to watch with all the bumping and spin outs. Most of the drivers would have brake issues by the end of the race, so slowing down for cornering was a bit dicey. Fun for those of us watching, probably not so much for them.

The grandboys came about 6:00pm and they enjoyed watching an old Inspector Gadget movie. Our neighbors came over and we visited out under the awning for a while then we called it a night.

Sunday we had made plans to meet up with another full timing couple that is up Millersburg having some repairs made. We dropped the boy’s off at home then we went back to get the motorcycle. The weather was just perfect for our hour and a half ride.

We pulled into the Carriage RV facility, in the back they have full hook ups for Carriage owners to use while having repairs made, or if they are passing through they can use the sites.

Our goal was to meet Jim and Dee. I met Dee through the RV-Dreams chat room a few years ago. Since they were so close it was a great opportunity to meet up with them. Once we met them it was like we had known them for years. What a great couple! You can read about their travels here. Tumbleweed

We visited in their rig for awhile then we went to dinner up in Middlebury at the Middlebury Hills restaurant. It is a nice little place with great service and pretty good food. We enjoyed our visit with them very much and can’t wait to meet up with them somewhere on the road.

On our way home we stopped at a McDonalds to get something to drink. We pulled in and there was about 5 or 6 Honda Goldwings parked next to picnic tables with their owners taking a break. Now that is not that unusual. These were all 2008 models and all of them were Red like mine. We stopped over and visited with them for a few minutes. I told them I had chrome envy. All of their bikes had a lot of chrome added to them. We made it back home around 8:00pm and watched a little TV and then called it a night.

The next few days we will try to get some Emma time and maybe clean the outside of the rig. I prefer more Emma time and less cleaning time.

Enjoy Your Day!

How cool that you got to meet Jim and Dee! They're so much fun.

Hope your "Emma time" outweighs your "cleaning time" this week.
