Oh.. Snap!

This week here at the Escapees park in Aguanga California has been really fun. We went on a motorcycle ride with other members. They took us all through the surrounding area which included coastal mountains and vineyards. I need to find a way to take pictures while we are on the motorcycle. The scenery was just fantastic.

We have been enjoying the park amenities everyday. I have been playing pickleball for two hours every morning. Until yesterday. I made a great shot and won the point, but pulled or torn my Plantar Tendon in my right calf. I felt and heard a snap when I extended. I knew at that moment I was done playing. They also call it  “Tennis Leg”. The high risk group are men between the ages of 45 to 60 that have been pretty much sedentary and then start to get into shape. They also call them “Weekend Warriors”. Yep that is me!

We even changed our plans to head back to Palm Springs for two more weeks to let the weather warm up a little at Soledad Canyon before we head north. The side benefit was that I would be able to play pickleball for two more weeks. I won’t be able to play for at least 4 to 6 weeks. Oh well! They have a great pool and plenty of casino’s!

Here are a few more pictures from around the Jojoba Hills park.

They also have a card room, billiard room, weight room and saunas. Tennis and shuffleboard courts. Even an radio controlled airport and a airgun shooting range. Plenty to keep one busy and entertained.

We really enjoyed our time here and hate to leave. We will probably keep this one on our list for a possible membership down the road. It is a age 55 park and I still have a year and a half before I hit that milestone. In fact, they have been teasing us about being out after curfew. Silly Seniors!

Enjoy Your Day!

Oh no -- so sorry to hear about your pulled tendon! Hope it heals soon.

That park sounds fantastic. Guess you won't have a problem finding plenty of other amenities to keep you busy.

Ouch! Know what you mean about being sedentary. Steve and I are walking more and hope to get in shape...at least better shape than round.
