We moved about 130 miles north On Tuesday to the Thousand Trails Soledad Canyon Resort. It is a very large and spread out resort. We were told that it is a bit run down, and driving in we could tell that it is need of a little love and care.
There are several different sections, many with trees but we chose to go to the far end up the canyon where it was a bit more open. The sites are on gravel and are very close together. They are arranged to where the porch side of your rig is facing the porch side of your neighbor.
We chose a site and got set up. We are able to get satellite tv and our cell signal is about two bars. I did put up the Wilson amplifier antenna to help pull in the internet signal.
After getting set up we found a Mexican restaurant about 3 miles up the road. I do not think that we have ever been to a “Bad” Mexican restaurant, but I think we have to rate this one as very poor.
We will only be here for a week before we head over to the Santa Barbara area. I am not sure what we will do this week yet. There is a Metro Link close by where we can take the train into LA and Hollywood. We will have to see how that works.
Enjoy Your Day!
