For some reason a 9 and 7 year old have kept us so busy I have not had time to update the blog. Any “Free Time” we get we spend it wisely. Usually involving a large glass of wine and some chocolate within easy reach. The blog gets pushed down on the priority list.
We finished up our Yosemite visit with a trip to the valley. It was much more crowded than what it was a month ago when Max and I rode the motorcycle through. Now there is people everywhere and parking in a nightmare. I am so glad we rented a car rather than driving the dually through here.
A few pictures from the valley.
We had a great time in the “Valley” . The crowds are starting to get to me and I can see why it is best to visit these high use parks in the off seasons.
We finished up our stay at Bass Lake by playing at the campground.
Max is about to get it from a super soaker
Bass Lake Resort was a good home base for visiting Yosemite. The sites were too close together but they had such a great facility for the kids it was worth it.
This past Wednesday we moved back to the Thousand Trails Resort at Morgan Hill. Unfortunately this go around we could not get a site where I could get the satellite dish connected. Luckily I had recorded some of their favorite shows ahead of time just in case this would happen.
Once we got set up, the boy’s wanted me to make them some rubber band guns to play with. Now any grandpa can make a rubber band gun. I decided that they needed a nine shot Zombie killer for the upcoming Zombie Apocalypse, complete with dragon and name plate pistol grips. Grandma just shook her head like I was crazy for giving the boy’s a weapon. Well how else are they going to protect themselves from Zombies!
This past weekend we did a couple of trips. One to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and the other to San Francisco and to Muir Woods. Here are a few pictures from our adventure.
Monterey Aquarium
I loved the Sea Horses
San Francisco
It was a foggy day
Pier 39
Alcatraz
“Stewie” was bigger than the boy’s
Lunch at the Wipeout Grill
I tried to get Blake to put his arm around the girl for a picture. I guess he is just is not into Blondes!
We had a fantastic time exploring the Monterey and San Francisco area’s. Max and I saw a lot of things that we want to return to when we have the time. The boy’s seemed to enjoy it a lot and hopefully they will remember some of it.
This Fourth of July week we are just going to hang out at the campground. The boy’s will fly back to Indiana on Saturday so we only have a few days left.
The new Spiderman movie comes out on Tuesday so I am sure we will probably find our way to see it. I know we will be kept busy!
Enjoy Your Day!

Looks like you guys are having a great time with the grandkids. You'll need lots of R&R once they leave!
You guys are very busy! Glad you were able to get the boys to the aquarium. We went there so often when my boys were young, that we had season passes. They loved it!
Looks like you guys are having a great time! Those are pretty cool looking guns. Maybe you should make a few to sell. I know two little boys that would have a blast with them! By the way, we took a job at Amazon in Fernley. Actually we are 11 and 12 on the waiting list. Start date is Nov 1st.
Oh man -- nine shot Zombie killers!! You're the best grandpa EVER!!! :-)
Cute picture of Blake and the blonde.
Looks like a bunch of fun to me.
