This past Saturday we had to say goodbye to the boy’s and made the return trip to the San Francisco airport. This time however things went very smoothly. We parked the truck at a Target store and took the Bart subway into the airport. No problems with the tickets this time.
We still had to wait in line for awhile at the United Airlines check in, but we had plenty of time to wait at the gate. As we checked the boys in at the gate the flight crew was passing by.
The pilot asked me if the boy’s were flying by themselves and she said that she would take good care of them. She wanted my e-mail address so she could send me a picture of the boy’s in the cockpit. She even gave them some pilot wings. Lucky Ducks! I am jealous!
The boy’s made it home safely and I think they had a good time with us this past month. Hopefully they will remember some of it. After getting home from the airport Max and I just relaxed for the rest of the day.
Sunday I washed the truck while Max finished up her cross stitch baby blanket she has been working on since last February. The new grandbaby is due at the end of the month and she got it done with a week to spare.
She did a great job and it is a beautiful blanket. We will be flying back to Indiana next week and she can give it to our daughter in-law Cheryl.
Tuesday we will be moving to the San Benitio Thousand Trails resort in Paiciens Ca. We will be there about 6 days and then put our rig in storage for a month while we fly back home for the birth of Mike and Cheryl’s baby.
They already know that it is going to be a boy and will be naming him Ethan. We will be staying at his house and hopefully we can get our grand daughter Emma to learn who we are. We went on the road when she was just 6 months old. This is the downside of traveling
Emma
It will be a busy 3 weeks that we are there. We also scheduled our annual physicals, dental checkups and even the dreaded colonoscopy since we were in town.
So for the next week we will relax a little, maybe take in a motorcycle ride down to Big Sur and pack for our trip. Just taking it easy!
Enjoy Your Day!

Great pictures of your grandsons in the cockpit! Love Max's cross-stitch blanket. I've always loved to cross-stitch and never had the time. Now I do. :-)
How nice of the pilot to do that! There are nice people in the world :)
Beautiful blanket, Max!
You guys will be right around the corner from my parents house in Prunedale. If you get time, tour around Hollister & San Juan Bautista. It's a great area.
How cool that the boys got to sit up in the cockpit! Nice way to top off their visit with Grandma and Grandpa.
Great job on the baby blanket Max!
How fun for the boys! That blanket is beautiful. Enjoy your visit to Indiana.
