The last few days I have washed the outside of the rig and washed the truck. The caliche dust is so fine it permeates everything. Of course now that I have the rig and the truck washed, it rained last night. Oh well, Texas needs the rain.
Max spent the last few days cleaning the ceiling , crown moldings and upper cabinets. Basically everywhere she needed a small ladder. The Caliche dust is so fine it has even gotten into our cabinets, so Max is taking everything out of every cabinet and dusting, re-organizing and then using a furniture oil to polish the woodwork. This is going to be her project for the next few days. Believe me when I say she is thorough! I think I am going to have to make my self scarce for the next few days.
Last night we met our friends JoBeth and Catherine, whom we met a few years ago at a RV-Dreams rally in Tennessee. We met for dinner at a micro brewery called the Dodging Duck. It is aptly named because it is located right in front of the Guadalupe River Park that runs through Boerne Texas.
As you can see you have to dodge the ducks and geese

The food and beer was pretty good and the company was exceptional. We got caught up with JoBeth and Catherine’s travels over the last year, and just really enjoyed the evening. You can read their blog here, http://rvcrazyjournal.blogspot.com/
Max, Catherine and JoBeth
And of course the food and beer pictures. Max and I ordered a sampler of their beers to share. Share… meaning that Max would take a very small sip and leave the rest for me! She takes care of me
We had a good time visiting and eventually we had to call it a night. With hugs and see ya laters we headed back to the rig. The rain was just starting to come down and we had about a 45 minute drive back to the campground. Thanks JoBeth and Catherine for picking out a great little restaurant and for meeting us there. We had a really good time!
This weekend the temperatures will be cooler and hopefully the rain will ease up some so we can enjoy it outside. Football is on tap this weekend and I plan on getting the metal detector out for a little bit. Anything to keep me out of the rig while Max does her deep cleaning.
Enjoy Your Day!

Max is welcome to deep clean our rig next. :-)
Nice that you could catch up with JoBeth and Catherine.
I think the dust & dirt is the one negative for George about work camping. Since it's only a year old, he wants to keep it as clean as possible!
