Back Home In Indiana

Traveling from Phoenix/Mesa airport is a breeze compared to going to the larger airports. Going through the TSA checkpoints with less than 20 people was a snap. Our only glitch was that we were delayed about an hour because the pilot was late.

We made it to Ft. Wayne around 4:30 and our son Mike was there to pick us up. He is the air traffic controller here at this airport and just got off work when we arrived. Perfect timing.

For the last year we have Skyped from time to time and our three year old granddaughter has really only seen us on TV. To separate us from her other grandparents that are local, she calls us TV grandma and grandpa.  I was concerned that we would have to warm her over again before we got a hug. Boy was I wrong, as soon as we walked in the door she was up in my arms. I will say it now. It is going to be tough to leave.

Here she is modeling one of her “Princess” dresses.

I have already been introduced to all the “Princess” movies and she makes sure I pay attention.

Ethan is an 18 month old bundle of energy. It did not take him long to warm up to us either. He will cuddle for a few minutes at a time than he is off for other mischief.

We plan on staying 3 weeks with Mike and Cheryl and then 3 weeks with our other son David. Saturday night Dave and his wife Beth brought the two oldest grandsons Blake and Gage over and we had us a pizza party.

This week we are busy with Doctor and Dentist appointments, shopping for Christmas and catching up with old friends. That’s it for now, I have to go study about Princesses Ariel, Bell and Cinderella.

Enjoy Your Day!

TV Grandma & Grandpa -- that's cute! I still remember the day that Nicolas realized that he had TWO Grandma's and Grandpa's -- he distinguished them as House Grandma & Grandpa (Tom's parents) and Camper Grandma & Grandpa (my parents), and we still refer to them that way! Have a great Christmas!
