28 Degrees, Really!

Columbus Texas, temperature is 28 degrees, rain, sleet, ice! Sheesh! When will this global warming thing kick back in? We arrived in Columbus and it was about 65 degrees. The next day it was 45 degrees, now it is 28 degrees.

Luckily we made it to the grocery store and stocked up before the really cold weather hit. We stayed inside most of the day on Wednesday watching the rain and sleet. After lunch it ended and I went out to get a propane tank refilled. The weather is suppose to get back to 70 this weekend and we are ready for it.

There are plenty of deer that come through the park, but they do not want anyone to feed them. We can tell a big difference from the deer back at Medina Lake because the deer here will not let you get too close. One of my challenges while we are here is to get a picture of an Armadillo. There have been a few spotted along the river early in the morning. I will have to wait to see if the temperature gets warm enough in the morning for me to venture out.

We have been going up to the clubhouse to enjoy some games in the evenings and meeting some new people. It is a good past time when it is too cold for doing anything outdoors. We really need to get more exercise but it is all about the weather. Hopefully a few more days and we can get back to our daily walks.

I will get some pictures of the river and the park and hopefully an Armadillo and get them posted. Until then we are just hunkered down waiting for better days.

Enjoy Your Day!
