Our time in Columbus Texas has come for an end this go around. We may be back in three weeks depending on what happens with an employment opportunity in San Antonio. We are on the short list for a Christmas tree lot to set up and sell trees between Thanksgiving and Christmas. If we get the job we will stay in San Antonio, if not we will come back to Columbus in another three weeks for Max’s treatment in Austin.
We are Currently outside Austin at a Passport America park for a night. Max had her 50 injections this morning and we will spend the day and night letting her recuperate a little before we head back over to Lake Medina outside San Antonio. We are bouncing between the two Thousand Trails resorts (Columbus and Lakehills Texas) while she is undergoing the therapy sessions. After the first treatment Max seems to be having some improvement and hopefully by January she will have moderate to excellent improvement.
During the last week we have been visiting with neighbors, watching a little tv and working on small craft projects. I was hoping to be able to get a few items made up ahead for a craft sale, but when the neighbors see us working on them outside, they have a tendency to come see what we are making and then they will buy them when we get them done. That is a good thing I guess.
Here is an Intarsia Angel that I just finished this week. It is made up of different woods, no stain is involved. This one has Mahogany, Cherry, Maple, Bubinga and Red Oak. Over the winter I want to make different ones with the words Hope, Faith and Joy.
These projects are fun but it is frustrating at times working outside on a picnic table. I sometimes really miss my woodshop. If we ever end up at one location, one requirement is that our community will have a woodshop.
Football season is here, and there have been some really good games. Unfortunately none of them were with my Chiefs. I dropped the NFL Sunday Ticket because due to blackout rules, South Dakota shows a lot of Chiefs games so I will get blocked out. So far I have been lucky to find them online and can stream them. It is not the best but at least I can still watch it.
That’s about it for this week. We are just piddling around.
Enjoy Your Day!

I'll take an angel! Nice work. Steve and I are at Catfish Junction in Oregon. Going to see Hell's Canyon. Would like to hear about Christmas tree lot. Glad Max is feeling better.
Just love that angel! Maybe you'll make more to sell for Christmas? :)
That angel is gorgeous! Hope Maxine continues to improve.
