The last few weeks have been so busy! We have been working and learning the new job. Every day it seems we learn something new that will make it easier. As we are learning the tricks and getting efficient, the job is becoming more enjoyable. It is a fun job but also a hard job.
I took the Jeep back to the dealer to look at our issue with the light and traction control. They looked at it and determined that it was the cam shaft itself. So we had to take two days off so they could replace it. I was skeptical that this was the problem but after two weeks of hard trail use we have not had a single problem.
We moved from Tooele Utah and headed to Rexburg Idaho. We requested to be able to work four ten hour days for two weeks so we would be able to take some long weekends to go see Yellowstone NP. This company is pretty flexible so we were granted the request.
We spent one night at the Old Faithful Inn and then another night just outside Mammoth Hot Springs. There were plenty of Buffalo and we saw a few Elk but unfortunately we did not see any Bears.
It was chilly and raining a little here and there but at least the crowds were not there. We were able to get through the park fairly quickly.
The thermal pools were everywhere and with the cool temps the steam was covering up the colors that the minerals and bacterial mats create.
There is a lot to see in Yellowstone and two days does not quite do it justice. We will definitely come back and spend more time.
We will be moving about 40 miles to another campground either today or tomorrow. It has been raining for about two days so that could impact our work schedule a little. We were planning to go into the Grand Teton NP next weekend but the weather may not be very good, so we may just relax around the rig. We will work another two weeks then we will be taking a short vacation and will be heading back to Southern California to meet our son David and his family.
We will spend a few days all together then Max and I will steal the grand boys and take a camping trip up to the Big Bear area while David and his wife Beth sight see southern California and into Arizona. It will be good to take the boys fishing and spending some time with them.

We just loved Yellowstone. Due to weather and my tiredness we only spent one day there, but saw most everything we wanted. Exploring the town of West Yellowstone today, it looks pretty cool!
Love Yellowstone. We drove through Rexburg Tuesday on the way to our jobs. Hope to see you folks if you head into the Tetons. Al and I are off Sunday/Monday.
Great pictures! I have been to Yellowstone six times and I doubt I will ever get my fill.
